Detroit - Mike Jackson, Executive Secretary-Treasurer and Bart Nickerson President of the Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights, have been unanimously re-elected to serve as the top ranking officials of the largest skilled trades union in Michigan.
Their team, which has led the union to a record financial and membership turn around was also unanimously re-elected. The newly elected Executive Board includes carpenters and millwrights from all over the state:
- Mike Jackson – Executive Secretary-Treasurer
- Bart Nickerson – President
- Tyler McCastle – Vice President
- Brian Kerrigan – Trustee
- Dick Reynolds – Trustee
- Leon Turnwald – Trustee
- Kevin Krieg – Warden
- Mike Barnwell – Conductor
- Tom Lutz – Committee Member
- Chad Miller – Committee Member
“I am honored to be elected to lead this brotherhood and sisterhood,” said Jackson. “Our team will continue to work hard every day to improve the lives of working people and build this union family from the ground up.”
The Michigan Regional Council of Carpenters and Millwrights represents 14,000 skilled tradesmen and women in Michigan. Mike Jackson was first elected to this position in 2009. The MRCC elects Executive Board Members to serve 4-year terms.
