January 18, 2017 Senate kicks off 2017 with bills to repeal prevailing wage LANSING, MI — Senate bills 1, 2 and 3 would repeal the state’s prevailing wage laws, and they’ve got support from A, B and C. The Association of Builders and Contractors, that is. The state’s prevailing wage law applies union-level wages to job sites for public projects like schools and government buildings.
